Hopscotch have a longstanding relationship with Mirvac and provide an all encompassing suite of construction management services to ensure that the success of Mirvac's retail projects.

  • Calypso Bay Community Facility is a welcomed addition to the Calypso Bay housing development which will bring life to the area by way of a high-end function building, residents lounge, restaurant, separate gym & amenities facility, lap & kids pool, double tennis court, and BBQ entertainment pavilion. A Construction Management procurement method was adopted to assist and collaborate with Roche Group to resolve budget and design issues without delaying the commencement date. This provided maximum flexibility and control for Roche Group.

  • Construction Management procurement method allowed Hopscotch and Mirvac to collaborate and reduce costs on a newly purchased shopping centre. Mirvac had total flexibility in design. Modifications were carried out on the run without the variation price tag of “Lump Sum” contracts. Works comprised of demolition, inground footing modification, and underpinning the new travelators and pit, as well as upgrade finishes to ground level, and levels 1 and 2 landings. 200 additional carparks were also provided. This project was undertaken within a live centre to deliver what was a logistically challenging refurbishment.

  • Tenancy works included the completion of the base build, fit-out works, and shop front glazing. Hopscotch Projects were engaged by Mirvac Retail to undertake tenancy upgrades and manage defect rectification post completion of the Stage 2 shopping centre expansion. Responsibilities included remedial works, modifications, upgrades, and general coordination/liaison between the centre and major tenants, including defining and separating base build defects and fit-out defects.

  • Hopscotch Projects were engaged to fast-track refurbishment and upgrade works to the Birkdale Fair Shopping Centre in Redland Bay. The project included facade embellishments, mall finishes improvements, and signage upgrades. Hopscotch were able to quickly progress the client's requirements from concept design to site commencement, and ensure the works were delivered with minimal disruption to the centre's operations.

Luke joined Hopscotch in 2017 after 15 years spent with FKP, Baulderstone, Blackwatch, and Mirvac. Having wide industry experience in various project and construction management roles, Luke has excelled in delivering complex, multi-stage projects at scale, including numerous retail projects in ‘live’ customer environments. With his excellent project planning, construction, and commercial administration acumen, Luke is able to deliver optimal outcomes for Hopscotch’s clients on the most challenging projects.

Tim founded Hopscotch Projects in 2016 after leaving Mirvac Construction Australia’s Senior Management Team. With 20 years industry experience overseeing the delivery of 40+ Tier 1 construction projects in the commercial, health, correction, retail and residential sectors, Tim manages the day to day business development and overall business operations.

Tim takes an active role in each and every Hopscotch Project. With a full workbook from its first day, Hopscotch has rapidly expanded and is now partnered with numerous strategic clients and staged building projects. Hopscotch’s success and delivery capability has been quickly recognised, with valued client Mirvac engaging Hopscotch to provide construction management services for much of their QLD retail portfolio. Tim is focused and well positioned to expand and galvanise Hopscotch Projects as it enters a strong period of expansion and diversification.

After 3 years finalising his Masters of Music study, Jerry returned to the property industry in 2016 bringing his 35 years industry experience in site management, project management and construction management to Hopscotch Projects. Having worked for some of Australia’s largest builders on the nation’s most iconic and complex projects, Jerry’s experience and skill set are second to none, enabling Hopscotch to “crack walnuts with a sledgehammer” in delivering our client’s requirements.
